Emergency Management Institute Announces Change in Baggage/Luggage Stipend Reimbursement under Incidental Travel Expenses

Effective February 3, 2020, Baggage and Luggage fees will no longer be accepted or covered under stipend reimbursement for incidental travel. This change in reimbursement practices is applicable to all students attending the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Course Description:

The overall purpose of the course is to provide Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) with an awareness of the knowledge and planning strategies needed to protect lives, property, and the environment by supporting incidents more effectively within the context of comprehensive emergency management. Course Description:

This advanced floodplain management course is a dynamic and interactive course covering placement of Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles in the Floodplain, National Flood Insurance Program Flood Insurance Principles for the Floodplain Manager, Higher Standards in Floodplain Management, and Hydrology and Hydraulics for the Floodplain Manager. E0284 Advanced Floodplain Management Concepts III

Course Description:

This advanced floodplain management course is a dynamic and interactive course covering Floodway Standards, Disconnects between the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Regulations and Insurance, Common Noncompliance Issues, Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) and Substantial Improvement/Substantial Damage.
